Novice beekeeper - my hives died, now what?

I went to check on my hives this week and both of them were dead. The good news is that I have lots of built out comb and quite a bit of capped honey. My question is: now what? What should I do to protect these frames (aside from cleaning out the bee carcasses)? Do I need to freeze them to prevent pests?

Any help you can provide is quite helpful.

Hey Paula - can you tell me what you saw in the colonies? It would be good to try to figure out why they both died. Happy to chat if you want to give me a call.
