Bees in empty super
Sugar water on top of wooden cover with small entrance into empty super. The abundance of bees don’t seem to be doing any drinking or “general” activities but walking around. Days have not been hot but more bees accumulate daily. We’ve had our nuc almost 30 days and the frames are not full-checked this past weekend. I’m thinking the hatch cycle could have something to do with it but unsure. Any ideas?

I don't see anything unusual about bees on the inner cover. If you feel the brood chamber has an issue have your mentor do an inspection and advise.
