Slow honey growth

My one hive that overwintered this year has bees.

there is flowers still out in the Tulip poplars.

honey growth just seems to be slow.

honey super was completely new this year

I don't think they swarmed off 'cause I never saw a beard or anything like that.

Days when it's really warm out its Grand Central station in front of the entrance of the hive.

Is April just so cold it killed off honey production?
