Swarm recovery

Hi, all. We installed our first nuc in 2022. The colony was very strong last summer. We probably should have re-queened this year, as most of the bees have swarmed, leaving the queen and very few bees. The weakened colony is now infested with ants and other invaders.

We have a nuc ordered from Woodcamp, thinking we might now have 2 colonies. Is there any way to recover from this short of scrapping that hive and starting over?

Thank you!
