Hi All, Happy 4th! My wife is looking to use a product called First Saturday Lime (hydrated lime and citric acid from limes / https://firstsaturdaylime.com) for some gardening issues. The product maker is claiming that beekeepers use it around their hives to prevent hive beetles. Has anyone used this? I've used the white vinegar and salt option that was mentioned at our meeting, with ok results. Figured I'd throw it out there, since this would also help with ticks, mites and fleas too. I just registered my hives with MD and selected the option to be given a ID#. I got the registration back and see a control#, and a number above my name, but the ID# is blank. What gives? Can anyone explain this? I was under the impression that each hive was supposed to be given a separate number. Thanks, Tim

Hi, the wife was about to plant "moon flowers" out back and realized that the plant is supposed to be toxic to people/animals. Does anyone know if this would harm the bees? I've seen several forums that state the bees love the plant and it's large white flowers that come out in the evening. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks, Tim
